Week 13 NFL Picks

Week 13 NFL Picks

There are some intriguing matchups in the NFL this week as there are four games in which both teams have better than .500 records. As always we will pick each game against the spread.

Titans +3 @ Bills

The Bills are reeling, losers of four straight and the Titans have aspirations of an AFC South title with the Texans quarterback situation being as it is. Chris Johnson looks like an NFL running back again and the Titans should run all over the Bills. Titans 24, Bills 20.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Chiefs +7 @ Bears

Tyler Palko vs. Caleb Hanie, it simply does not get any better than this. The Bears defense will force plenty of turnovers and look for Kyle Orton to get some playing time in this one. Bears 21, Chiefs 10.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Raiders +3 @ Dolphins

The Dolphins are playing good football in the last month and it's always tough traveling from west to east, especially if Rolando McClain isn't able to escape incarceration. Dolphins 24, Raiders 17

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Bengals +7 @ Steelers

The Bengals have played two legitimate teams this year and lost both. Here's their turn for some redemption against the Steelers, and it's tough to imagine them being competitive on the road when they were defeated at home. Steelers 27, Bengals 16.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jets -3 @ Redskins

A great battle of inconsistency at quarterback with Mark Sanchez vs. Rex Grossman. The Redskins pass rush should affect Sanchez. I'll take the home dog with the points. Jets 20, Redskins 19.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Falcons -1.5 @ Texans

The Texans seem to be confident in T.J. Yates abilities, but for him to beat a playoff team in his first start will be a tall task. Look for Tony Gonzalez to have a big day. Falcons 24, Texans 20.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Panthers +3 @ Buccaneers

Cam Newton may be better than Josh Freeman right now and Freeman may not play on Sunday. Take the points. Panthers 27, Bucs 21.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Broncos -1 @ Vikings

This feels like a trap game as Denver should be favored by much more than one against a Vikings team without Adrian Peterson. Tebow will move to 6-1 and Skip Bayless's head might explode. Broncos 16, Vikings 13.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Colts +21 @ Patriots

Indianapolis may be terrible, but I think they have some pride. Being a 21-point underdog should have them motivated enough to hang around and lose by 20. Patriots 35, Colts 16

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ravens -7 @ Browns

Baltimore is a matchup nightmare for Cleveland who struggles running the football and throwing outside the numbers. No letdown on this Sunday. Ravens 27, Browns 6.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Rams +14 @ 49ers

The St. Louis Rams are far from good, especially on offense. With that said, the 49ers are led by Alex Smith and 14 points seems like too many to lay with a pretty mediocre Niners offense. 49ers 20, Rams 10.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Cowboys -4.5 @ Cardinals

Two of the Cardinals four wins this season have came because of Patrick Peterson punt return touchdowns. They'll need more than that against a red-hot Cowboys team. Cowboys 27, Cardinals 14.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Packers -7 @ Giants

When healthy, the Giants have the pass rush and explosive passing game to beat the undefeated Packers. Unfortunately, they aren't healthy, they're playing on a short week and the Packers have had 10 days to prepare. Packers 35, Giants 24.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lions +9 @ Saints

Do you know who wins in the Superdome? The Saints and only the Saints. No Ndamukong Suh means the Saints will run the ball even better than usual. Saints 38, Lions 21.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Chargers +3 @ Jaguars

The Chargers are more talented and have a better quarterback, but they also have Norv Turner as their head coach. Now that the Jacksonville Jaguars no longer are under the guidance of Jack Del Rio they will play harder and try to prove a point to ownership why they should keep Mel Tucker as their coach. Jaguars 17, Chargers 14.

Last week: 8-8

Season: 87-80-7
