The Jaguars continue to be hit by the injury bug.
They placed two more players, rookie safety Chris Prosinski (thumb) and cornerback T.J. Heath (shoulder) on the injured reserve list Monday, bringing the number of players they've put on the list to 27.
They've made injury settlements with five of them to cut the list to 22 because they can have only 80 players under contract.
They have 53 players on the active roster and only five instead of the eight allowed on the practice squad because they couldn't go over 80.
They waived offensive lineman George Bussy and cornerback Talmadge Jackson from the practice squad to make room for kicker Brandon Contu to the practice squad.
They had to sign him because Josh Scobee suffered a groin injury in the game, forcing the Jaguars to go for two after their last touchdown instead of kicking the extra point.
And linebacker Russell Allen was called on for the last kickoff and popped it up.
If Scobee can't go Thursday at Atlanta, they will activate Contu to the active roster.
They also have an issue at safety because Prosinski started in place of Dwight Lowrey, who was injured and inactive for the game.
His status for the Atlanta game is uncertain.
Contu didn't play football in 2009 or 2010 after being released in training camp by Seattle in 2009 after being a seventh round pick of the Seahawks in 2008.
He was signed with the Seahawks as a free agent in July and waived August 30th.
The Jaguars also are short at wide receiver because Mike Thomas suffered a concussion and Cecil Shorts a leg injury.
The Jaguars had wide receiver Taylor Price, who was just pickup off waivers a week ago, on the inactive list for the Tampa Bay game. But he is likely to be active for the Atlanta game.
The Jaguars will be behind the eight-ball when they travel to Atlanta to take on the 8-5 Falcons…
