The Jacksonville Jaguars relish the role of underdog — and they'll have to do it again next season. The boys in Vegas have given the team a little bulletin board material as the NFL's biggest long shot to win the Super Bowl.
If you were so inclined to wager on the Jaguars winning Super Bowl XLVII, the MGM Grand Casino in Las Vegas will give you 150:1 odds. The next biggest long shot at MGM is the Washington Redskins, who are at 125:1.
Online sports book Bovada.lv, formerly Bodog.com, is giving the Jaguars a little more respect, as they have company as the biggest underdog in the league. Blaine Gabbert and the Jags are given the same amount of respect as Colt McCoy and the Browns with both teams at 100:1 long shots.
Jaguars fans shouldn't be too surprised that nobody is picking their team to win the Super Bowl, but the longest odds might be just enough disrespect to put yet another chip on the shoulder of the NFL's leading rusher, Maurice Jones-Drew. They have to be better than Tampa Bay, St. Louis and Minnesota, right?
