Nkang is undersized at 5'11", 220 lbs., and was a Division 1-AA All-American and earned the Buck Buchanan award for the Defensive Player of the Year in 2005. Nkang is a strong guy with nice quickness and strength, and excels at run-stopping. Some of the knocks on Nkang are that he's not great in pass coverage and is somewhat undisciplined.
Andrew Carnahan is a tall, lean guy at 6'7", 306 lbs., and has good initial quickness, despite not being a great athlete. Carnahan is a tough guy, and hard-worker, who will get everything out of his limited athletic abilities. A big knock on Carnahan is that he tore his ACL last season, and may not be able to contribute during the '07 season.
Expectations are low for guys picked at or near the end of the draft, and with the multitude of linebacker and offensive tackles already on the Jaguars roster, it would be somewhat of a longshot if either of these guys made the final 53 man roster when the final training camp cuts come around. Although, Marques Colston was the 252nd player taken last year by the Saints and he nearly won rookie of the year.
