Jaguars/Falcons Injury Report
Listed as probable are Pro Bowl defensive tackles Marcus Stroud and John Henderson. Stroud is still nursing shin and ankle injuries, and Henderson has had an issue with his neck and thigh. Although both played last week, neither was especially effective as Tennessee ran rough shot over the Jaguars for a team record 282 yards on the ground.
Among the walking wounded on the defensive side of the ball who missed some practice time are defensive ends Reggie Hayward and Bobby McCray, as well as safety Gerald Sensabaugh. Hayward is still nursing his Achilles, which he partially ruptured in last season's opener, and McCray has some sort of elbow injury. Sensabaugh has a sore shoulder. All are listed as probable, as well as wide receiver Reggie Williams, who is having issues with his back.
The Falcons counter with just three players on their injury report, defensive tackle Rod Coleman, who will miss Sunday's game with a bad knee, starting safety Chris Crocker, who is doubtful with a knee injury, and wide receiver Laurent Robinson who is questionable with a hamstring injury. If Crocker misses the game, it is likely that safety Jimmy Williams will take his place. Robinson would likely be replaced with Michael Jenkins at wide receiver.
Although it seems as if it's bad luck that the Jaguars are getting ravaged by the injury bug yet again, 13 teams have a minimum of six players listed on their injury reports this week. In the offseason we talked about the excellent depth that the Jaguars team has. Unfortunately, the team will have to lean heavily on that depth early on this season if they are going to be successful.
