JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS 2008 UNDRAFTED ROOKIE BIOS *courtesy of the Jaguars Adam Bishop – A collegiate tight end who will make the move to wide receiver. Played in 21 games his final two seasons and recorded 25 receptions for 352 yards and eight touchdowns. Missed second half of junior season with a hip injury but returned for bowl game. Alex Boston – A four-year letterman who played in 48 career games at Florida State including starting six of his 13 games as a starter at defensive end. Recorded 23 tackles, 6.5 for a loss and three sacks as a senior. Was a two-sport athlete for FSU while playing outfield on the baseball team as a freshman and sophomore. Chris Brown – A three-year starter at tight end at Tennessee. Started 39 of his 50 career games including all 14 as a senior. Recorded six receptions for 74 yards and one touchdown as a senior and finished career with 92 receptions for 736 yards and eight touchdowns. Anthony Cotrone – A four-year letterman at Maine, who played in 36 career games at running back and as the team’s primary holder. Recorded 15 rushes for 96 yards and eight receptions for 55 yards as a senior. Clyde Edwards – Ranked second on the squad with 57 receptions for 804 yards with 12 touchdowns in 12 games as a senior at Grambling. Recorded 10 kickoff returns for 211 yards and four punt returns for 49 yards. Isaiah Gardner – A two-year starter at cornerback who transferred from Notre Dame after his freshman season. Started 26 games in his final two seasons and recorded career totals of 147 tackles (88 solo), three interceptions and one fumble recovery. Tallied 69 tackles and two interceptions as a senior. Michael Grant – Started 12 of 13 games as senior at cornerback for Arkansas. Finished sixth on the team with 75 tackles (61 solo) along with three interceptions, 20 passes defensed and one forced fumble. Jeron Harvey – Started all 13 games at wide receiver for Houston and finished second on the squad with 55 receptions for 673 yards and three touchdowns. A native of Jacksonville and played at Jackson High. Theo Horrocks – A two-year starter at defensive tackle for Vanderbilt who served as defensive co-captain. As a senior recorded 39 tackles, six for a loss, two sacks and one fumble recovery. Earned team’s postseason Defensive Lineman MVP for final two seasons. Drew Miller – A two-year starter at center and right guard while at Florida. Starter on the 2006 National Champion squad. Started 31 of his 39 career games and was one of only 14 true freshman to play on opening day for the Gators. College teammate of Derrick Harvey and Reggie Nelson. Lamar Myles – A three-year letterman who started all 12 games as a junior last season at middle linebacker. Led team with 128 tackles (76 solo), eight for a loss, two sacks, three forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries. Paul Smith – Conference USA’s Player of the Year after starting all 13 games at quarterback for Tulsa. Completed 300 of 499 passes for 4,753 yards with 42 touchdowns and 19 interceptions. He averaged 365.6 yards per game and rushed for 12 touchdowns on 96 carries. Brian Witherspoon – Named First team All-America by D2football.com as a senior at Stillman. He recorded three interceptions with 14 tackles in 2006 despite missing six games due to injury. Also earned Division II All-America honors as a 100-meter track sprinter. |
