It was widely reported that the Jaguars were trying to acquire Dolphins defensive end Jason Taylor in the days leading up to last month’s draft, and during the early stages of day one of the draft. Miami appeared to be holding firm at their demand for a first-round pick, and the Jaguars, as well as every other team that was in the running, felt that price was far too costly.
