Jaguars' offensive tackle Tony Pashos is about to get yet another new neighbor.
AFC South Offensive Line Rankings
2. Jacksonville Jaguars- The Jaguars return all five starters up front that finished 2007, and it's a group that really gelled as last season progressed. Jacksonville's big men up front opened up holes for the NFL's second-ranked rushing attack a year ago. Changes in store for this season will be a switch of guards Vince Manuwai and Maurice Williams, as Manuwai will be moved to the right side of the line, and Williams over to the left. Khalif Barnes is a better than average left tackle, and Tony Pashos was solid as a rock on the right side in 2007. Calling the signals will be veteran Brad Meester, who has been with the team every year since 2000.
3. Tennessee Titans- Tennessee has a very physical, underrated offensive line that paved the way for the fifth-ranked rushing attack in the NFL last season. The Titans line is anchored by veteran center Kevin Mawae, and Michael Roos is one of the best left tackles in football, despite his lack of publicity. Former Colts guard Jake Scott will replace Jacob Bell who left in free agency. Jason Murphy and David Stewart will likely man the right side of the Titan line, which will likely depend on running the football to be successful again in 2008.
4. Houston Texans- The Texans offensive line has struggled since day one of their franchise, but last season they showed signs of improvement. Houston returns four of their five starters from a year ago, as the right side is in tact with Eric Winston and Fred Weary, and they have left tackle Ephraim Salaam and Chester Pitts returning on the left side. First-round pick Duane Brown will challenge Salaam at left tackle, and likely win that job. Greg Eslinger, Chris Myers, Bryan Pittman, and Chris White will all compete for the starting job at center.
