Jaguars fans got their first looks at several players in Saturday’s 20-17 preseason victory over the Atlanta Falcons. JagNation is going to break down their debuts.

#46- TE Charles Davis- Davis brought his solid play from training camp to preseason as he blocked well, and showed great hands by catching two passes for 29 yards.

#21- CB Drayton Florence- Florence had a fine debut with the Jaguars as he was nearly flawless in coverage and broke up one pass that turned into an interception by Reggie Nelson.

#93- DE Quentin Groves- Groves showed quickness off the edge, but was handled against the run. Groves chased down a play 47 yards downfield which showed great athleticism.

#70- DE Mkristo Bruce- Bruce was one of the biggest pleasant surprises for the Jaguars. 5 tackles, 2.5 sacks, and Bruce was a terror in the Falcons backfield.

#20- FS Pierson Prioleau- The veteran free agent had a solid night as he registered two tackles and sealed the victory with a late interception in the end zone.

#34- RB Chauncey Washington- Washington showed a nice ability to run the football despite a fumble, as he gained 33 yards on 12 carries including a touchdown, and he caught one pass for four yards before fumbling.

#53- LB Thomas Williams- Williams played well as he was active and aggressive and registered two tackles.

#22- CB Trae Williams- Trae Williams didn’t really stand out much and has appeared to have fallen behind Brian Witherspoon on the depth chart.

#38- CB Brian Witherspoon- Witherspoon was a star for the Jaguars as he showed electric speed on kickoff and punt returns, and even made a few plays on defense. Witherspoon’s only negative came when he fumbled a punt return as he was about to break into open field.

#17- QB Cleo Lemon- Lemon played well and showed some athletic ability as he went 6/10 for 46 yards. Lemon has control of the backup QB job.

#13- WR Ryan Hoag- Statistically, Hoag didn’t do much. He didn’t catch a pass and really didn’t make much of an impression.

#72- OT Leander Jordan- Jordan wasn’t horrible against Falcons third-stringers. He’s going to need some injuries to occur to make the Jaguars roster.

#64-DE Alex Boston- Boston wasn’t terrible in his Jaguars debut, but he didn’t record a single tackle.

#4- QB Todd Bouman- Bouman struggled with the third-team offense and completed 5 of 10 passes for 44 yards. After looking strong in OTA’s and mini-camps, Bouman has clearly fallen behind Cleo Lemon on the depth chart.

#45- TE Chris Brown- Brown didn’t catch a pass, but had one carry for two yards. He played physical, but is likely behind Charles Davis on the depth chart at tight end.

#16- WR Clyde Edwards- Edwards caught one pass for nine yards in his debut, and is realistically trying for a practice squad spot.

#36- DB Isaiah Gardner- Gardner played quite a bit in the second half and was credited with three tackles. Although he was active, he didn’t make too much of an impression.

#37- RB Lavarus Giles- Giles had a rough night as he carried the ball four times for seven yards, and caught one pass for no yardage. Giles had a bad fumble and looked hesitant.

#26- DB Michael Grant- Grant was unspectacular, as he missed some tackles.

#19- WR Jeron Harvey- Harvey wasn’t much of a factor in the passing game as he didn’t catch any passes.

#70- DT Jimmy Kennedy- Kennedy played plenty of snaps, and didn’t get pushed around, although he looks nothing like a former first-round pick.

#61- C Drew Miller- Miller seemed to take a step back from his fine training camp play, but he will get more chances as the Jaguars are a little thin on the offensive line right now.

#58- LB Lamar Myles- Myles didn’t make much of an impact.

#80- WR Jerry Porter- DNP- hamstring.

#60- DT Jesse Mahelona- Mahelona played quite a few snaps and made a very small impact, if any.

#99- DE Bo Schobel- Schobel, playing with virtually no knowledge of the Jaguars playbook put forth a fairly solid performance in his limited action.

#84- WR Troy Williamson- DNP- undisclosed leg injury.
