When the Jaguars are on offense:
Khalif Barnes - Barnes played very well against Dwight Freeney, who wasn’t much of a factor at all. Freeney finished with one tackle.
When the Colts are on offense:
Interior Jaguars offensive line- The combo of Brown, Norman, and Nwaneri dominated the smaller Colts defensive line to the tune of 236 yards rushing.
Reggie Williams / Mike Walker - Most of the passing game to the wide receivers was invisible as the Jaguars were hiding their quarterback, but Williams and Walker showed up on the final drive of the game and combined for two catches for 19 yards.
Gary Brackett - The Colts middle linebacker had 11 tackles, but most of them came far from the line of scrimmage.
Melvin Bullitt - The replacement for Bob Sanders left plenty to be desired for Indianapolis, as he was run over repeatedly by Jaguars running backs. Bullitt finished with seven stops.
Anthony Gonzalez - Jaguars nickel back Brian Williams was lined up against Gonzalez often, and he held him in check. Gonzalez finished with just two catches for 37 yards.
Jeff Saturday - The Colts center played in his first game of the season and although the Jaguars manufactured a solid pass rush, Saturday more than held his own.
Derrick Harvey / Quentin Groves - The Jaguars rookies played better than their statline, as they showed good energy and push.
Mike Peterson - Peterson played better on Sunday, but still missed plenty of tackles and took bad angles. The Jaguars middle linebacker finished with just three tackles.
Drayton Florence - Florence blew several coverages on Sunday and missed plenty of tackles. The Jaguars won in spite of his poor play.
Josh Scobee - The Jaguars kicker was perfect on each of his three field goal attempts, and his 51-yard field goal with four seconds remaining may be the play that gets the Jaguars team jump-started for the season.
Brian Witherspoon - Indianapolis’ coverage units were especially impressive on Sunday, and Witherspoon looked very ordinary.
