2. New York Jets- Jets are peaking right now, hitting on all cylinders on offense and defense. (8)

3. Tennessee Titans- They were due for a bad game, let’s see if it’s a trend. (1)

4. Indianapolis Colts- Manning is playing at a high level, the defense is good enough. (6)

5. Pittsburgh Steelers- Playing well despite a brutal schedule. (7)

Good, But Not a Real Contender

6. Tampa Bay Buccaneers- They get no credit for beating up on Detroit. (4)

7. New England Patriots- Cassel is earning himself lots of money. (9)

8. Carolina Panthers- Beat up physically by the Falcons. (3)

9. Baltimore Ravens- They have the look of a playoff team. (10)

10. Arizona Cardinals- Their defense isn’t good enough to advance in the playoffs. (5)

11. Atlanta Falcons- John Abraham is playing at a Pro Bowl level. (12)

12. Dallas Cowboys- Took care of business. (15)

Pretenders

13. Minnesota Vikings- Imagine how good they’d be if they had a quarterback. (16)

23. San Diego Chargers- Losing close games with regularity. (23)

24. Cleveland Browns- Offense is underachieving in a major way. (21)

25. Jacksonville Jaguars- Soft football team who can’t score points. (24)
