It’s the list that everyone loves to hate, our meaningless power rankings.

The Favorite

1. New York Giants- They don’t need Plaxico. (1)

The Contenders

2. Tennessee Titans- Back on the winning track with the win over the NFL’s Citadel. (3)

3. Pittsburgh Steelers- Impressive effort in New England. (5)

4. Tampa Bay Buccaneers- They just keep winning football games. (6)

5. Indianapolis Colts- Winning games with defense, who are these guys? (4)

Good, But Not a Real Contender

6. Carolina Panthers- Good bounce-back victory in Green Bay. (8)

7. Baltimore Ravens- I’m still not convinced about their offense. (9)

8. New York Jets- Laid a beautiful egg at home against Denver. (2)

9. Atlanta Falcons- Is Ryan the best rookie QB ever? (11)

10. Dallas Cowboys- Feasting on the easy part of the schedule. (12)

11. New England Patriots- The Pats just turned the ball over again. (7)

Pretenders

12. Minnesota Vikings- How will they be without the Williams’ tandem? (13)

13. Arizona Cardinals- At least they get one home playoff game. (10)

14. Denver Broncos- A soft division champ is better than a tough non-playoff team. (19)

15. Philadelphia Eagles- McNabb auditioning for some other team. (20)

16. Miami Dolphins- May be the worst 10 or 11 win team ever. (15)

17. Chicago Bears- They get a break with Jax coming in this week. (16)

18. Washington Redskins- The league has caught up with Zorn’s offense. (17)

19. Green Bay Packers- They got worse in the offseason, much worse. (18)

The Underachievers

20. Houston Texans- Playing with confidence. (22)

21. New Orleans Saints- A bad team outdoors. (14)

22. Buffalo Bills- You can’t lose at home to the 49ers. (21)

23. San Diego Chargers- Soft, poorly coached team. (23)

24. Cleveland Browns- No QB’s left. (24)

25. Jacksonville Jaguars- They’ve quit, officially. (25)

Does it Really Matter?

26. San Francisco 49ers- They were the first west coast team to win east? (29)

27. Kansas City Chiefs- They were better than the Raiders. (30)

28. Oakland Raiders- No more trick plays. (26)

29. Seattle Seahawks- It all went bad. (27)

30. St. Louis Rams- At least they played hard against Miami. (31)

31. Cincinnati Bengals- Marvin Lewis needs to update the resume. (28)

32. Detroit Lions- Successfully embarrassed themselves on national TV. (32)
