This was somewhat of a career achievement award for Jones-Drew, as he has been one of the most dynamic backs in the league each and every year starting as a rookie in 2006. The 5'7" back has accumulated 55 career touchdowns in his nearly four seasons, and this year he has run with power and elusiveness to the tune of 1,309 yards rushing while averaging 4.4 yards per carry. Jones-Drew's 15 rushing touchdowns leads the AFC and he's only two behind fellow Pro Bowler Adrian Peterson for the NFL lead.
"I'm not really concerned with personal honors as much as I am winning," Jones-Drew said following a recent Jaguars loss.
Despite Jones-Drew not being overly concerned with the honor, his selection marks the Jaguars first representative in the Pro Bowl since Fred Taylor was selected as an alternate following the 2007 season.
