Cleo Lemon Profile
The Jacksonville Jaguars made four roster moves, including two veterans and
two first-year players, the team announced on Wednesday.
The contract of veteran QB Cleo Lemon was terminated, while OL Drew
Miller, DE Mkristo Bruce, and CB Weldon Brown were waived. The
Jaguars roster now stands at 80.
Lemon played in one game and threw two passes last season after signing with the
Jaguars as a free agent in February of last year. He is entering his sixth
season in the NFL including stops in San Diego and Miami.
Bruce is a first year player who joined the Jaguars at the start of the 2008
training camp. He spent most of the 2008 season on the practice squad before
joining the active roster Dec. 5 and playing in one game.
Miller is a former Florida center who signed as a rookie free agent last year
and spent half of the 2008 season on the Jaguars practice squad and half on the
active roster.
Brown was an undrafted rookie this year who signed with the team following the
April draft.
Veteran QB Todd Bouman now becomes starting QB David Garrard's
backup. The team also has 2008 undrafted free agent Paul Smith on the
roster as the third quarterback.
