Jaguars FA Primer: RFA's
Oshiomogho (O.J.) Atogwe - Safety - St. Louis Rams: Atogwe is a very good young safety, argubly the best player on the Rams outside of runningback Steven Jackson. Atogwe was originally drafted in the third round of the 2005 draft out of Stanford.
Matt Moore - Quarterback - Carolina Panthers: Moore was undrafted in 2007 out of Oregon State. While Moore might not be the franchise quarterback the Jaguars are looking for to replace David Garrard, Moore could bring viable competition to the position. I'm not sure how Carolina will tag Moore, since he was undrafted if he gets the lowest tender and signs with another team, the Panthers get nothing.
Troy Smith - Quarterback - Baltimore Ravens: Smith was selected in the fifth round of the 2007 draft. The Ravens have their franchise quarterback in Joe Flacco and Smith has made it known he'd like to be traded. If he is tendered at the original tender, I believe it's worth a fifth round pick to let Smith compete for the starting position or be the team's back up.
Matt Roth - Defensive End/Linebacker - Cleveland Browns: Roth was selected in the second round by the Miami Dolphins. He was released during the 2009 season and claimed by the Browns. Jacksonville also put in a waiver claim for Matt Roth in the hopes they would get him. I wouldn't be shocked to see Jacksonville pursue him in free agency again.
Derek Hagan - Wide Receiver - New York Giants: Hagan was drafted by the Dolphins in the third round of the 2006 draft. He never really stuck on in Miami and was buried on the depth chart however, he did have an ultra productive career at Arizona State under Jacksonville Jaguars' current offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter.
Nick Collins - Safety - Green Bay Packers: Collins was selected in the second round by the Packers in the 2005 draft. Originally he was seen as a "raw athlete" at the position, but he has earned back to back Pro Bowls with Green Bay.
